The Health Professions Student Loan is offered to Veterinary Medicine students.
- The loan is low interest, with no interest accrued while the student is in school full-time
- The loan is awarded by the Office of Student Financial Aid based on financial need

Requirements
- The student must sign a promissory note
- The student must complete an HPSL annual review on AccessPlus

To be considered for the loan, regardless of age, marital status, or dependency:
- Student must provide parental data on the FAFSA
- The FAFSA must be received by the processor before March 1
- The amount of the loan may vary each year, depending on fund availability and the number of students who give complete parental information
- If parental information is incomplete, the student will not be considered for the program
Repayment
Repayment of principal and interest begins twelve months after the student graduates, drops below full-time, or withdraws
