National Physical Science Consortium (NPSC) - Graduate fellowships in the physical
sciences
Applicant must be studying Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Material
Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physics, and their subdisciplines
and related engineering fields: Chemical, Computer, Electrical,
Environmental, and Mechanical. To be eligible you must also
be (1) a US citizen and (2) in your senior year with at least
a 3.0/4.0, OR in your first year of a grad program pursuing
a Ph.D., OR in a terminal master's program (no Ph.D. in your
discipline at your university), OR returning to the workforce
with no more than a master's degree. All qualified students
are encouraged to apply, but emphasis will be placed on underrepresented
minorities (African American; Hispanic; Native American Indian,
Eskimo, Aleut; Pacific Islander - Polynesian;) and/or female.
Award
include Tuition, Fees; Stipend: Years 1-4 $12,500/yr., Years
5-6 $15,000/yr; plus two summers paid research employment. Valued
at $156,000 to $200,000 depending on the University.

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship
Applicants must be United States citizens or nationals, or permanent resident
aliens of the United States. Those eligible to apply are college
seniors, first-year graduate students, and others who have completed
a limited amount of graduate study in science, mathematics, or
engineering. Women who intend to pursue graduate degrees in engineering
or in computer and information science and engineering and who
meet the eligibility requirements above can apply for the additional

SAE
Doctoral Scholars Program
To
be eligible, candidates must hold an undergraduate degree from
an engineering program at a school where the undergraduate
program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering
and Technology. At the time of application, applicant must
be admitted to a doctoral program with the purpose of teaching
engineering at the college level. Loans are available in amounts
up to $5,000 for three years, with a total of $15,000. For
each year spent teaching engineering, one year's loan will
be forgiven.

To
be eligible for the one-year fellowship, the candidate must
be:

United Methodist of racial ethnic minority heritage
- A
recent college or seminary graduate who has broad communications
training, including an understanding of effective public relations
