4-H Scholarships
The Iowa 4-H Foundation has several scholarships
available to entering freshman, many of which are for students entering
Iowa State University. We also have some scholarships available to undergraduate
students. The Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarship listings and application
forms are available from any Iowa county extension office, from the

ACACIA Leadership Scholarship
The ACACIA Leadership Scholarship is designed
to recognize and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated
their ability to excel in the fields of academics, extracurricular activities,
and community service. The scholarship is available to any male, graduating
senior from an accredited Iowa high school, who will be attending Iowa
State University. This scholarship is awarded by the Corporate Board
of The ACACIANS, a non-profit organization of Iowa State Alumni.
Financial need is not a factor in the awarding of this
scholarship. Interviews for the scholarships will be conducted between
May 1 and August 15 at a time convenient for the applicant and the selection
committee. Those students who receive the scholarships will be notified
prior to the beginning of the Fall semester of the award year.
Up to ten (10) scholarships will
be awarded to qualified and selected students. Each recipient will receive
a scholarship with a maximum value of up to $1,000.

Academic
Recognition Award
Iowa
students who rank in the top fifteen percent of their
graduating class and out-of-state students who rank
in the top twenty-five percent of their graduating
class will automatically receive the ISU Academic
Recognition Award. Amounts vary from $500 to $3500.
The award is renewable for a total of four years,
provided the student is enrolled full-time and maintains
a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00.
Only students who enter Iowa State as freshmen beginning
Fall and Summer Semester, of the award year, are
eligible to receive this award.
Deadlines:
Must be offered admission by March 1 (annually) of the award year to
be considered for these awards.

AXA
Achievement Scholarships
The AXA Achievement
Scholarship Program, conducted in association with U.S. News & World Report and managed by Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America, Inc.,
will provide $670,000 in annual scholarships to high school seniors
throughout the nation. Fifty-two (52) scholarship recipients, known as AXA
Achievers, will be selected – one from each state, the District
of Columbia and Puerto Rico. These recipients will receive one-time
scholarships of $10,000 each. Ten (10) AXA Achievers will be selected
as national recipients from the pool of 52, earning an additional one-time
scholarship of $15,000, a computer and the offer of an internship at
an AXA office. This brings each top AXA Achievers' total award to more
than $25,000!

Balanced Man Scholarship
If you are
currently a male high school senior who will be attending Iowa State
next fall, you can apply for the Balanced Man Scholarship by filling
out the attached application and returning it to the address below
by June 11. After your application is received, it will be reviewed
by one of our scholarship coordinators. You will then be contacted
by one of these coordinators in order to make arrangements for an interview.
Monetary rewards for the scholarships consist of one $1,500 scholarship,
one $500 scholarship and one $250 scholarship. There is no obligation
to join Sigma Phi Epsilon in order to receive or apply for the Balanced

Hixson, Christina Opportunity Award
The Christina Hixson Opportunity Award is a grant of $10,000 ($2,500 per year
for four years) to be used at Iowa State University. One hundred high school
seniors from across Iowa will receive the award each year. Ideally, recipients
will represent each county in the state. If you are a high school senior
who demonstrates potential in ways that go beyond class rankings and test
scores, you may wish to apply.

Hoover, Herbert Uncommon Student Award for High School Juniors
Applicants must be juniors in an Iowa high school
or home school program.
The Herbert Hoover Presidential
Library Association in West Branch sponsors the award. Students chosen to
participate in the program are eligible for $750 awards. In addition, three
$5,000 scholarships are awarded for study at an accredited two or four year
college or university anywhere in the country.

IPSCO Scholarship
IPSCO Inc. is offering two $1,500 scholarships to students planning to enroll
for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be majoring in business administration,
computer science or engineering and demonstrate an interest in working in the
steel industry following their college education. This scholarship is renewable
for three additional years provided the student fulfills the scholarship requirements.
Selection is based on academic merit and preference is given to freshman students
demonstrating financial need. Students must file the Free Application for Federal

ISUAA Club of Hamilton County Scholarship
The ISUAA Club of Hamilton County annually offers scholarship awards in varying
amounts are offered to Iowa State University freshmen who reside in Hamilton
County. Awards are based on academic achievement and financial need. The amount
awarded each year is entirely supported by the donations from alumni and friends
of Iowa State University in Hamilton County, Iowa.

Jahn, Darryl Memorial Scholarship
- Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran
Fraternity
Each fall the Alumni of Beta Sigma Psi Lutheran fraternity award 2,
$1000 scholarships to Lutheran gentlemen entering Iowa State University,
regardless if they join the fraternity. Applicants are evaluated on
their scholastic achievement and active participation in their communities
and churches. An interview is required of each applicant which take
place a couple of months prior to classes starting in the fall.

Klindt, Dorothy Memorial Scholarship
Awards are offered to entering freshman at Iowa State
University who are enrolled in the College of Human Sciences. Applicants
must live in Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine or Scott County, with
first preference to female students from rural areas in Scott County.
Selection is also based on academic achievement and demonstrated involvement

Lewis, Tracey E. Leadership
Award
The Tracy E. Lewis Leadership Award Scholarship is available to entering
freshman at Iowa State University. This scholarship will be awarded
to an individual who has demonstrated leadership involvement in community,
school or spiritual clubs and organizations, and has expressed interest
in continuing leadership activities while at Iowa State University.
One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded. Applicants
must submit an essay (not to exceed two typewritten pages) highlighting
their leadership and community involvement, and plans for continued
involvement at Iowa State.

McColm, Thelma V. and John T. Scholarship
Awards
in the amount of $1000 are available to entering freshmen. First
priority is given to graduates of West Liberty High School and Louisa-Muscatine
(L & M) High School. Second priority is given to graduates from high schools in Muscatine
and Louisa counties. Third priority is given to graduates of high
schools in Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Johnson, Scott, and Washington

Miller, Glenn Scholarship Competition
Clarinda's Glenn Miller Birthplace Society is
offering six scholarships, $3,000, $2,000 & $1,000 to both instrumental

of Achievement Scholarship
Awards of $2,000 for students who have received the National ProStart Certificate
of Achievement by participating in the HBA/ProStart School-to-Career Initiative.
Applicants must: be a graduating high school senior; submit a copy of his/her
certificate; have applied and gained acceptance to an accredited Hospitality
Management Program with a focus on restaurant management or foodservice-related-post-secondary
program; be enrolled either full-time or substantial part-time (9 credit hours);

Scholarships for High School Seniors
Awards of $2,000 for students who have demonstrated a commitment to both a
post-secondary foodservice education and a career in the restaurant and foodservice
industry. Applicants must be high school seniors and: have a minimum cumulative
GPA of 2.75/4.0; have a minimum of 250 hours of foodservice-related work experience
verified by pay stubs or letter(s) from employer(s); have applied and gained
acceptance to an foodservice-related-post-secondary program, either full-time
or substantial part-time (9 credit hours), and plan to enroll in a minimum
of two terms of the school year (verifiable by submitting a copy of the acceptance

Ostlin, H. S. Memorial Scholarship
One $1,000 scholarship is available to incoming freshmen who are full-time students
and residents of one of the following counties: Dallas,
Jasper, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Story, Warren. Selection is based on academic excellence. Although financial need is not an

President's Leadership Class
Thirty awards of $1,000 are offered. Available
to first-year students at Iowa State University. Selection reflects
academic accomplishments, evidence of leadership involvement and of
community service during high school. The President's Leadership Class
meets for one hour each Tuesday evening in the home of President Gregory
L. Geoffroy. Class combines discussions with leaders from politics,
government, business, and philanthropy and class exercises to strengthen
leadership ability to use at ISU in student clubs and organizations.
Candidates for this award will be selected in May from among those who
have accepted their offer of admission.

Return to Iowa - Generations scholarship
A $1,500 scholarship to the newly admitted, undergraduate, nonresident
children or grandchildren of Iowa State University graduates. A graduate
is defined as any person who has been awarded a bachelor's, master's,
or doctoral degree from Iowa State University. The scholarship is renewable
for up to three additional years for freshmen ($6,000 total) or up to
two additional years for transfers ($4,500 total), provided the student
maintains continuous, full-time, nonresident enrollment with a cumulative
grade point average of at least 2.00. This award is disbursed during
fall and spring terms only, not during the summer term.

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program
Scholarships awarded to incoming freshman seeking employment, after graduation,
with the National Security Agency. Benefits include: Tuition at college of
your choice, Reimbursement for books and certain fees, Housing and travel entitlements
during summer employment, and a year round salary. Requirements are: US Citizenship,

Stucky, Ralph
- Delta Upsilon Incoming Men's Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to help young men who will be attending
Iowa State University for the 2007 - 2008 academic school year. We
feel that due to the rising costs of education, organizations in our
position have a responsibility to reach out and assist fellow students
in meeting their education goals. One $500 scholarship will be given
away. The recipient of this award will be chosen based on their personal
and academic qualities, as they relate to the founding principles
of Delta Upsilon. The recipient shall have a minimum H.S. or college
GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; a copy of your transcript will be required.
Scholarship finalists will be contacted for an interview. You need
not join Delta Upsilon Fraternity or any other Greek institution to
be considered for the scholarship. Delta Upsilon seeks to improve
our community through the promotion of scholarship and character development
of future leaders.

VEISHEA Leadership Award
This scholarship is for $500 and is awarded on
an annual basis to 6 high school seniors. Selection of the scholarship
will be based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular involvement,
and leadership experience. Equal emphasis will be placed on each category.
Applicants must be in the top 15% of their high school class. In addition,
the student must have achieved an ACT composite score of 26 or above,
or SAT 1 score of 1760 or above. Financial need will not be considered.

Warnock, Florence Scholarship
One Scholarship of $1,500 (renewable for up to 4 years) will be awarded annually
to a graduating senior from a Black Hawk County school with the intent of pursuing
a Baccalaureate Degree at a Four-Year College or University Student must graduate
with a 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate financial need and be able
